We’re sharing our best advice from nurse educators at ATI. These educators have exactly what you need to know because they have navigated their way through all phases of nursing – nursing school, life as a nurse, and nurse educator. Enjoy these words to the wise, from the wise!

Welcome to Nursing School

When beginning your program it’s important to remember,

“Plan for success. Develop a reasonable schedule for preparing for classes. Preparation is imperative. Faculty will facilitate application of knowledge but you must have command of the knowledge to apply it.

Janet Kane, MSN, RN, CNE, ATI Nurse Educator

“ATI resources are designed to assist you in the nursing program. Focusing on your individual learning style and helping you to make connections between coursework and clinical. ATI is designed to help you prepare for each of your nursing courses all while preparing you for the NCLEX.”

Elisabeth Turingan, MSN/MHA, DNP-c, RN, ATI Nurse Educator

Halfway There

Now that you’re a nursing school veteran don’t forget,

“Class and clinical go hand in hand, you can’t do well in one without the other. Don’t drop what you have already learned; pull it forward!”

Janet Kane, MSN, RN, CNE, ATI Nurse Educator

“As you continue in the nursing program, ATI can assist you in focusing your study based off areas of weakness. In using your ATI resources you can study more effectively and save time focusing in on the areas that meet your individual needs. You can continue to use the ATI resources and Focused Reviews to help you prepare for course exams and finals.”

Elisabeth Turingan, MSN/MHA, DNP-c, RN, ATI Nurse Educator

The Final Stretch

Congrats! This is the homestretch. One step closer to graduation.

“Start when you enter your first nursing course. Each course provides information you will need on the NCLEX. The more you pull forward the less you have to go back and get.”

Janet Kane, MSN, RN, CNE, ATI Nurse Educator

“Congratulations on finishing up the nursing program. As you prepare for graduation, do not lose sight of the end goals, remember to finish strong. As you prepare for graduation, don’t forget about Learning System – NCLEX Final, utilizing the hint buttons and critical thinking guide as you complete a comprehensive quiz of 125-150 items. This will help you prepare for your Comprehensive Predictor practice assessments and ultimately the proctored assessment.”

Elisabeth Turingan, MSN/MHA, DNP-c, RN, ATI Nurse Educator

The Post-Grad: Passing Your NCLEX Exam

You got this! Passing your NCLEX exam is all about focused preparation.

“Train for it. NCLEX success is like anything else, don’t wait for it. You have to earn it. Work and train for it every day.”

Janet Kane, MSN, RN, CNE, ATI Nurse Educator

“Congratulations on passing the nursing program. As you prepare for NCLEX, you will have the ability to utilize all your ATI resources including your Review Modules and tutorials. You can also use your Focused Review from your practice and proctored assessments to study by NCLEX client need category. If you are using Virtual-ATI, remember to communicate openly with your coach regarding test date and any fears or concerns.”

Elisabeth Turingan,MSN/MHA, DNP-c, RN, ATI Nurse Educator

“Success on NCLEX is an invitation to a profession that will impact the lives of others, including your own. Continue the journey and remember what it feels like to be a nursing student. One day you will have the opportunity to help another student achieve his/her own success.”
