Meet Hannah C. This current nursing student was asked to take the ATI TEAS Exam as part of her admission into school. So how did she prepare, score exemplary and guarantee an acceptance into her nursing program? She explains.
I am a mom of five, going back to school to be a nurse. I didn’t want to mess around; I wanted to get the TEAS done right the first time!
After taking anatomy and physiology, I knew the time was right. I decided to go all in, investing in the SmartPrep Study Package.
I spent a few weeks studying with the modules, reviewing the items that it suggested I work on. Because of the program, I was able to hone in on my specific weaknesses, not wasting time on reviewing my strengths. I started by taking the Online Practice Assessment A. The results were not what I needed for my school’s acceptance rate, but it gave me a list of things to focus on.
On top of that, each module had a Pretest and a Posttest. It walked me though a specific study schedule, and I feel like I was able to prepare for the TEAS quicker and more efficiently because I knew exactly what to study. I took Online Pretest Assessment B a week before the test, and received better markings. In the week before the TEAS, I studied those last few weak areas that Assessment B identified. Most of my study was online, but I did love having the book for reference on some sections.
I went into the test feeling much less anxious because I knew I had prepared as well as I possibly could. When I submitted my exam, I was thrilled to see that I scored “Exemplary” on the exam. (92.7% overall.) I scored high enough to guarantee an acceptance for my nursing school application.
I am so happy that I purchased the SmartPrep Package. It was worth every penny, and I know my acceptance to nursing school will be owed to the help that it gave me.
