Everything that you learn over the course of your time in nursing school is preparing you to pass the NCLEX and become a registered nurse, which is a LOT of information. So when it comes time to start studying for what might be the biggest test of your career, where do you even begin?

A good place to start is with the NCLEX prep family of ATI solutions. So many students have access to this powerful suite of solutions but don’t know what they are or when to use them. In this article, we’ll be taking a look into three programs that can help you prep for the NCLEX in the most efficient and effective way possible.

Virtual-ATI

If you’re looking for a highly personalized NCLEX review, Virtual-ATI is the solution for you. This 12-week prep program is self-paced and tailored to your needs. Along with over 400 resources that are available to you on-demand, you’ll get one-on-one guidance from an experienced nurse educator who acts as your Virtual-ATI Coach for the duration of the program. Your coach will provide you with content assessments and study plans based on your individual needs and will give you the “green light” to take the NCLEX once they believe you are prepared to pass.

You will have access to Virtual-ATI resources starting 30 days prior to your graduation from nursing school. Be sure to check with your instructor as to when you should sign up for this program.

BoardVitals

Students who purchase Virtual ATI also get access to BoardVitals to help prep for the NCLEX. We know practice makes perfect, so BoardVitals offers you over 3,000 RN and 1,000 PN practice questions with detailed rationales that align with the NCLEX test plan blueprint.

For an additional level of practice, BoardVitals has adaptive quizzes that adjust to your performance and provide easier or more challenging questions based on how you answered previous ones, similar to the Computerized Adaptive Testing (CAT) that you’ll see when taking the NCLEX.

Live Review

To wrap up all of your knowledge before taking the NCLEX, you can sign up for an ATI Customized or Comprehensive Live Review session. This interactive and engaging review is taught by a Master’s-degreed nurse who knows exactly what material you should review right before taking the exam. In addition to some NCLEX-style practice questions, a Live Review session will also cover test-taking strategies, critical thinking exercises, and a general review of the NCLEX test plan and alternative item types so you feel fully prepared when it comes time to take the real thing.

The proof is in the pass rates. In January-June 2019, ATI Live Review students saw a 96% pass rate on both the NCLEX-RN and NCLEX-PN exams, exceeding the national averages of 90% and 86%, respectively.

If you have access to Live Review through your school, be sure to check with your instructor on when the best time to sign up is.
